Vintage Hérmes circa 1988 the Cuirs du Desert collection by Françoise de la Perrière whom designed some truly exceptional scarves for Hérmes. Hermes took its Fall/Winter Collection 1988 that year to exotic Turkey where the brilliant jewel tones of both the collection and the streets of Istanbul fought the drab of winter inspired by the story of Aziyadé, a novel by French naval officer Pierre Loti based on his semi autobiographical story where he fell in love with a harem girl from Turkey.
